As a charity, we are eternally grateful to our supporters and team of volunteers.
There are many ways that you can help us to help people in Plymouth:
Friends of Access Plymouth
By registering to become a ‘Friend of Access Plymouth’ you will receive our Access Life Newsletter posted to you three times a year, along with a business card magnet with our contact details on, entry into our monthly draw to win a cash prize and a place of your choice on our Access Plymouth Friends Wall.
Make a Donation
There are many ways to donate to Access Plymouth, get in touch with us and we’ll discuss which is the right one for you. Your donation will be used to keep the great work that we do continuing into the future and will provide people in Plymouth with the independence to shop, travel and access local places of interest.
Writing a will is an important step towards making sure your plans can be put into action and your wishes are respected. After you’ve remembered those close to you, we hope you will consider leaving Access Plymouth a gift in your will.
Throughout the year we hold various fundraising events, which include coffee mornings, raffles, and other activities. Whilst we are always keen to raise more funds, we recognise that this must be in a respectful and honest manner and we always adhere to the Fundraising Code of Practice.
Become a Volunteer
Our volunteers are the lifeblood of our charity – without them, we simply wouldn’t be able to offer the services that we do. If you are interested in finding out more about becoming a volunteer and working with the Access Plymouth family – then come and see us, for a tea and chat and we can answer any of your questions.
Community Car Drivers
We are always keen to hear from anyone interested in becoming a community driver. Anyone interested should possess a clean driving licence and be able to obtain written confirmation from their Insurance Company that their policy remains valid when participating in the scheme. There will be a DBS check and we also require two independent references. We pay a mileage allowance of 45p per mile.
