Access Plymouth - the new name for Plymouth Shop Mobility

We are part of the national Shopmobility scheme renting out scooters and wheelchairs to use around Plymouth City Centre.

 

The service is available to residents and visitors to Plymouth regardless of whether their disability is permanent or temporary.

 

The first time you use us you will need to book an appointment for a familiarisation session. This will enable us to make sure that you have the right equipment and that we are happy that you know how to use it. You will also be given instructions about the areas in Plymouth City Centre where it is safe to go. Please make sure you bring ID the first time you come.

 

You will need to register with us and sign to agree with the terms and conditions. There is a twelve month registration fee of £12.00 which is payable on registration.

Visitors to Plymouth can sign up to a holiday membership which gives you a three week membership. All hires are then £3.00 per day.

 

The Shopmobility Service is open Monday – Friday 9:15 - 16:30 and Saturday 9:15 – 16:00.

NB – all equipment should be returned at least 15 minutes before we close to allow time for vehicles to be checked.
