Access Plymouth, formerly known as Plymouth Shopmobility and Community Transport, is a local charity run from purpose built premises in the Mayflower East Car Park for the benefit of local people and visitors to Plymouth. A product of a merger between two charities in the late nineties, it has become a 'one stop shop' for disabled and frail elderly people's local transport needs.
We are a well-established group that offers its clients access to freedom and independence with a range of services including volunteer-driven community cars which can take you practically anywhere you want to go during weekdays, a 'Shopmobility' scheme which provides manual or powered wheelchairs, a Ring and Ride Bus shopping service for people living in Plymouth who struggle to access public transport.
