Community Car is a not for profit car sharing scheme to help people with mobility problems get around Plymouth.

Volunteer drivers, using their own vehicles, can take you to the shops hairdressers, doctors, dentist, lunch clubs, day centres, hospital visits or practically anywhere else you need to go in Plymouth.

Our first pick ups are at 9:15am (although this is our busiest period and can be oversubscribed) through until 4:15pm.

Bookings can be made up to 1 week, but no later than 1 day before you need to travel so we can plan the routes.

No bookings can be made after 2pm.

Your trips will be charged at £1.20 per mile. You do not pay the driver as we will take a card payment over the phone when we confirm your trip. Carers travel for free in our Community Cars.

We also offer a range of other services to help you get around the city including Shopmobility and Dial-A-Ride. Please call for further information on these services.

Take a look at this You Tube clip from ITV Westcountry News highlighting our Community Car service and request for more volunteer drivers. To join our team please do call us or pop in!

To use this service you need to register with us over the phone which takes about ten minutes.
